They were horrible! I couldn't throw them away fast enough!!

Hello Dale, thanks for your review of the Spezzata. I'm sorry you didn't like them. Spezzata and Spezzatina by Amarelli are both pure licorice extract so the strongest licorice possible. It's not a flavor that every licorice lover enjoys. It's best to start with Rombetti which adds a bit of anise to sweeten the licorice and remove some of the bitterness but still it is very strong.
