Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated on weight and destination. We ship via UPS and USPS mail. Costs vary.

Make sure to check all the shipping options for the best rate. UPS, USPS and Custom Shipping tabs appear when you checkout so you can select different carriers. If no rates are calculated then please double check your City, State and Zip to make sure everything is correct. Rates cannot be calculated for an incorrect address.

 

 

Shipping Policy

 

We strive to ship all orders within 24 hours of confirmation. Orders must be received by 12pm CST to be shipped the same business day.

We do not ship on weekends and holidays.

 

Licorice-of-the-Month Club packages are shipped by the United States Postal Service and cannot be shipped internationally.

 

If necessary, we will contact you when additional shipping charges are needed
for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes, APO addresses, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

We no longer ship to Mexico

 

Please be sure of the exact shipping address when you place your order. Packages which are returned to us for any reason, whether due to an incorrect address or a receiver having moved or refused delivery, will be refunded the invoice amount of the goods less any shipping costs.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If the carrier imposes an address correction fee due to a missing or incorrect suite, floor, zip, etc., this will be charged to the customer no later than 30 days after receipt of the shipment.

 

Express Shipping Policy

Our products ship from Lincoln, Nebraska, so if you are deciding whether or not to use an expedited shipping method—overnight or 2-day shipping, please consider that ground may reach you very quickly if you are in the Midwest. Expedited shipments are delivered Monday through Friday, except for USPS Priority and Express mail, which also delivers on Saturday.

 

Warm Weather Shipments

 

Chocolate items are NOT shipped with ice packs or insulation.  Keep this in mind when ordering during the summer months.  Many of the chocolate items that are more susceptible to melting will be out of stock during the summer and be available again once it is cool enough to ship.

 

Order Early

 

To ensure delivery for Christmas, orders should be place by December 15^th. Valentine orders should be placed by February 5th.

 

Return Policy

Licorice is a cultivated taste; not all licorice tastes the same. Please read the descriptions carefully before ordering. Please call before making a return and do not return opened packages. We do not pay for shipping on returned items without prior approval, so it is essential to call before you return anything. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Thank you.

A Short Explanation of California Proposition 65
 
Warning: Black licorice products contain a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or reproductive harm. California law contains what is known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act also referred to as Proposition 65 (Prop 65). Prop 65 requires the State of California to publish and maintain a list of chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The list has continually expanded since the inception of Prop 65 and it currently contains over 900 substances.

Prop 65 requires products sold in California to bear warnings about potential exposure to any of the substances listed by the state of California. Prop 65's warning provision is required for any product (food or non-food) that exposes an individual in California to any detectable amount of a listed substance "known to the state" to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm. It is important to note Prop 65 does not ban any products; it simply requires warnings. Legal proceedings to enforce Prop 65 against manufacturers may be instituted by the State of California, private attorneys, or private citizens.
