A unique Old World treat, licorice chalk is in the shape of a one-inch long piece of school chalk. It has a white, slightly minty shell on the outside with a soft center and a rich, sweet licorice taste. A real conversation piece! Dutch name: Schoolkrijt.

Sugar, molasses, wheat flour, glucose syrup, fully hydrogenated coconut fat, licorice extract, thickener (gum arabic), humectants (glycerol, sorbitol syrup), ammonium chloride, gelatin, glucose-fructose syrup, colors (E150d, E171), flavorings, salt, acidity regulator (E500).

Candy shell has a lovely crunch, with a nice chewy center. Peppermint is crisp but not painful. Great stuff.
